As with other endeavors in life that demand you stepping into a new role, successful camming takes a huge amount of confidence. The good news is that the cam world has become rich with so many high-earning charismatic cam models, all of whom you can learn from. However, it also means that the competition is heating up. But heat’s not a bad thing. Of course, the beauty about camming is that there’s always an air of unpredictability. The model who you would think won’t succeed goes on to attract the right customers who keep him/her going. Conversely, the gorgeous model who you thought would rock day after day gives up after a week of slow sessions. It’s time for YOU to step up and develop the kind of confidence that will put you on par with the best models in the business.

STEP ONE: CONSISTENCY

Being consistent is one of the best ways for you to begin becoming more confident on cam. The more you do it, the more fun it will be. And, quite likely, the more lucrative it will become. Confidence is all about habit-building. We’ve all heard the expression, “Good things come to those who wait,” but I’d like to put it as, “Good things come to those who are consistent and persistent.”

Set a schedule. Be online. Get to know the customers and the culture by participating on a regular basis. Likewise, another word to focus on (one that compliments consistency) is “persistence.” This way of thinking is for those who might be consistent, but aren’t seeing the immediate benefits of consistency. In your case, hang in there. Some days are better than others. Every great top model will tell you that persistence pays. Not everyday can be a goldmine of tips and shows, but rest assured that the more you put yourself out there into the world (i.e. go on cam, prepared and in the right mindset), you’ll start earning. Tackle this profession as a way to enhance yourself. You WILL improve.

And, at the end of the day, improvement is why you’re here and where you’re heading!

STEP TWO: PUT YOUR BEST SELF FORWARD

Putting your best self forward in order to release more confidence is an ongoing exercise in effort. It’s not easy signing on and always trying to be in a the mood that you know your fans want to see you in. But, is it in your best interest to try and put your best self forward? Yes, we believe so. Here are few pointers as to what not to do, and why it’s worth it for you to continually work on yourself.

First, don’t open your cam show with a large yawn. Or don’t point the camera at the ceiling and let your viewers study the intricacies of your ceiling. When in a rage, because nothing’s going your way, don’t scream and berate your customers. Oh yeah, don’t go on cam and then leave the room for a prolonged length of time, not telling your fans where you’re going or why. Always, put your best self forward. Be the best you can be each and every time you log on. For sure, not ever model “feels” like camming when they log on, but we all know how to put ourselves into the mindset of doing the best we can. So, go online and do the best you can. Be your best self.

STEP THREE: REFLECT AND REVISE

Reflection is the art of thinking over an experience. It’s about taking a step back and considering it. Also, it’s about considering how you acted, reacted, or in how things could have gone differently. The cool thing about camming is that eventually you’ll log off. Upon doing so, you can reflect on the experience and go about revising your performance until the next time you sign back on. Do this over time and you’re sure to improve your game.
